Conflict management coaching is a process where a trained coach assists an individual to explore, understand and address conflict and can be a useful for deciding how to deal with a difficult situation or in preparation for mediation.
Mediation enables disputing parties to discuss concerns, gain an understanding of other perspectives, consider options for resolution, and assists the parties to reach agreement on the resolution of issues.
As part of an OH&S approach, following a mediation a report may be provided to the organisation with recommendations relating to broader organisational issues that may assist or support the resolution of conflict (without breaching the confidentiality of mediation). This takes into account organisational risk factors that may contribute to conflict.
